End of an Era? Newsweek for Sale

I find it so sad that this informative and substantial magazine is up for sale. I hope it finds a worthy buyer that can bring it to a life it deserves. As long as I can remember this magazine has been a part of our family. The issues that stand out most in my mind are the ones around the Vietnam era. Every week a new cover in a country that did not speak English but connected us to the US culture and politics.

"As the American conversation has become harder to sum up in a single cover, that era seems to be ending. The Washington Post Company announced Wednesday that it would sell Newsweek, raising questions about the future of the newsweekly, first published 77 years ago, Stephanie Clifford reports in The New York Times."
